“I guess ever since I was a kid, growing up on my granddaddy’s farm, I have always enjoyed the out of doors and enjoyed the rural lifestyle. I grew up on country music, bluegrass music, and western music, and every Saturday my brother and I went to the local theatre to see an old B western movies and day dreamed about being a couple of cowboys out on the trail. When I got the opportunity to get into the music business myself, it’s was always acoustic and was always story songs and upbeat songs like western swing and bluegrass. I had a couple of music TV shows over the years and really enjoyed bringing my style of music to the viewers. When I had the opportunity to get into radio, I had reached a stage in life where I felt a personal need to bring back some of the great music that I had enjoyed growing up. So now, here we are in our 19th year of broadcasting Cowboy Jubilee.

Each week we try to bring to our listeners the best in western swing, cowboy songs and cowboy poetry, songs of inspiration, western history and news of cowboy events around the country. I have had the pleasure of interviewing folks for the show like Red Steagall, R. W Hampton, Richard Farnsworth, Buck Taylor, Larry Mahan, Waddie Mitchell, Don Edwards, Sons of San Joaquin, Norman Blake, Carolyn Martin, Dave Stamey, Patsy Montana and many other great folks in western entertainment. ”–Bill McCallie.

We try to create an ambience on the show that takes the listener back in time…..just sit back and relax in that old recliner…..pour yourself a big cup of Arbuckle’s Coffee and enjoy another episode of Cowboy Jubilee. Spend and evening with us on Cowboy Jubilee and you’ll find yourself coming back again and again as we turn back the clock to a time in America when people always had time for a story and a song.
